Chapter 1: Chantus Interruptus
Engrossed in his chant, the Entity took no notice of the furtive ecotoplasmic tentacle arcing high above him.
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shaaaan-tiii...
As the Entity blissfully rocked into his final verse, the rearing vortex of rapidly corporealizing fury silently bristled into a writhing bouquet of serpent's heads. A dozen pairs of narrow orange eyes lasered brilliantly beneath small bumps solidifying in the vapor of each translucent head, as the forming mouths gaped to accommodate the fangs sprouting in each scarlet-deepening maw.
Ommmm-
Twelve sets of ice-pick fangs pincered clean through the Entity's body, each head clamping into a specific chakra, pinning the Entity supine to the surface of his cloud, paralyzing all possibility of resistance. "What the fuck is going o- " the Entity's yell choked to a squeak as the fangs pierced his throat chakra. He could see the serpent's thirteenth head swaying over him, spitting flame and bile. Forcing the last air from his lungs, he blurted "It's a case of mistaken iden-" as a hot wall of reptilian halitosis muffled his face and darkness slammed down.
