From time to time people friendly challenge me for push hands. But when some of them have trouble with the pure pushing they resort to other stuff like attempted sweeps or throw or whatever. One favorite along those lines is to ask me "But what if I started punching you? Your slow push wouldn't mean shit then."
Some truth in that. So even though this Black Mamba snapback ball is merely a warmup toy, I guess I would try to survive using something like these tactics shown here, but maybe a bit more forceful, not such the teaser mode shown in this warmup clip (cause I kinda like and enjoy this Mamba toy, and not so much that type of discourteous challenger LMAO).
Somebody asked me if this is easy or hard. Actually it's very binary, double answer. What this tool is, more than anything, is a shoulder tension diagnostic. If your shoulders are relaxed this becomes trivially easy, then really it's nothing but a child's play toy. If you are holding much conscious or unconscious tension however, which many people do, then this is very surprisingly quite difficult the ball will be all over the place, you'll miss 2 shots for every 1 that connects and you'll become quite frustrated. It's a bit deeper work than it may appear.
Here's the description text from the Youtube clip:
Yeah this is just a warmup tool for fun, NOTHING MORE. Not an authentic fight replicant, so spare me the comments lol. Sorry for the uneven quality - filmed at different times, different cam. However, as warmup tools go, this is one of the best, as it's a bit faster than a double-end bag, and though it's a touch slower than the speed bag, it's more omni-directional. Plus, it actually DOES have embody one cute little element of actual DANGER, because this fucker whips back FAST AS SHIT, and if that hits your eye believe me you're even more fucked than if the cruisierweight champ of Nigeria wallops you upside your head (yes I have sparred with Lateef Kayode, at the Wild Card Club in LA). You'll feel that mistake for a long time to come, may cause permanent eye damage so use at your own risk. They don't call this toy the black mamba for nothing LOL.
