Yesterday I wrote about how Sagawa Yukiyoshi emphasized a mysterious sort of internal power rooted in continuous "training your hips and legs". He teased this idea, and he stated repeatedly that his personal solo training was pretty much entirely based on these. But he didn't actually teach them to any usable extent. I said I will share bite-sized drills that fit his hints and characterizations. And which reliably result in huge upsurge of fully tangible, palpable, real experience of internal 'charge' (though to apply this to "fighting" whatever that is you'll need to work on yourself in every other area, including psychology, tactices, emotional control, spaciotemporal judgement, experience of hitting and begin hit, understanding of improvised weapons and lot so other stuff beyond the scope of this post so don't let's get into that right now). Yet despite the emphasis on legs, hips and "lower body", these drills aren't leg machine day at the gym or barbell power squats. So what are some of these bite-size 'hip and leg' charging drills?

Some attendees may be familiar with some of the above, either from their own prior training directly in the indicated systems, and/or from my own earlier books and trainings. Be that as it may, I'm confident that these will come alive for you, both stand-alone and as an aggregate program, like never before. What I write in the books about these is not the finish line, it's just the starting gun. Some, such as Mantis Fundamental Post Standing, I have never yet taught in any form. As time permits and student interest may direct, I will supplement the above with more-of-the-same from any/all of the indicated arts.
I will explain in excruciating detail how the above, while in form mainly "lower body and hips" work (as I discussed in yesterday's post) yet they are the essential foundation and source of the FULL BODY CHARGE that we seek to cultivate.
